If I were an omniscient being who can read minds choosing who to be My mortal incarnation's mother, I'd pick a lady who wants to do the job. You pick a lady who doesn't want to be impregnated, you might be abused or neglected. If you want good mortal parents, you pick people who want to be your parents.

May it be done to me according to your word", which to me i hear words like "servant" and "to your word" and i think this person thinks their word is lower than the other person due to power imbalance etc, and im pretty sure The Gospel of Matthew doesnt mention Mary’s consent. Or maybe even asking her for it, im not sure.
So we've gone from "forced impregnation" to "enthusiastic verbal consent with power imbalance." I'm happy with where the goalposts are now.
