Folks that think that way are usually religious themselves and think religion is some kind of spell that makes people good or bad, They probably attribute the good things they do to their religion and the bad things they do to straying from their religion. no. you've just crossed the line past anti-zionism to being uninformed on who pulls the strings in geopolitics and equating zionism to judaism. broadly speaking, lemmy is mostly anti-zionist with the exception of a couple instances (this one in particular i have some issues with which i won't get into here)
what's more is this line of thinking does work for israel, not against it. israel wants the world to think that they, and they alone, speak for people who look like me
