He was talking about gun control right before he got "shot"? Doesn't that seem suspicious to you?
Trump is having him guard the Epstein files. Once he releases them, Charlie will be able to talk about the woke Democrats.

Honestly, all of these things are plausible to be true, especially in the rights post-truth world. Alternative facts, if you will.
