Law and order doesn't matter much in a the face of someone with a nuclear weapon that's decided you're the "great satan".
Building nuclear weapons while constantly threatening other countries might get you bombed by those other countries. Apparently there's no international law about acting crazy while building nukes, but anyone who's brain hasn't been rotted by anti-Israel propaganda can understand how batshit insane the Ayatollah was. Now he's dead and the world is a safer place because of it.
I don't think you appreciate how many lives can be lost in an instant if someone insane gets a hold of a nuclear weapon. If international law allows for a country to be destroyed by nukes, I think there's a pretty big gap in international law.
If you want law and order on the world stage, you can't have laws that allow an entire country to be destroyed simply because the UN has decided they don't like that country anymore. The law isn't supposed to be this static thing, if there's a gap, you're supposed to create new laws to fill in that gap. An insane regime intent on destroying another country developing nukes seems like a big problem there should be some international law to prevent. But it seems if you hate Israel you're allowed to do as you please as far as the UN is concerned.
And Mark Carney is not being hypocritical here. Did you miss the Davos speech where he said the rules based order is over? If the NDP wants to pretend the rules based order is still real, it's just a sign they don't understand what's going on in the world.
