Ah but we'll never run out of electricity. We will run out of oil.

Furthermore, adding new electric capacity is easy in comparison to adding more oil infrastructure.

You do realize that the majority of electricity is generated from burning fossil fuels, like oil, correct? Not all countries have embraced renewables yet or even nuclear power to sustain their power grids...
