Oh really, so you admit you were completely and utterly wrong regarding how the war in Ukraine will turn out?

[–] poVoq@slrpnk.net -2 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

Because you can look into the future and were not completely wrong when you proudly proclaimed that Russia will never attack Ukraine here on Lemmy just days before they did so? 🤡

[–] yogthos@lemmy.ml 4 points 1 hour ago* (last edited 1 hour ago) (1 children)

Sure, I was wrong about that, and I explained my rationale for why I thought that. Being an adult, I have no problem admitting that I misunderstood the situation. Now, are you able to do the same, or are you going to keep deflecting like the troll that you are?

So far all my predictions about the war in Ukraine were correct, so I don't even know what you are talking about.

[–] yogthos@lemmy.ml 4 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

Oh I'm sorry, I forget that you're a visitor from an alternate timeline where Russian government collapsed, and Russia was quickly defeated by the west as you confidently predicted. Thanks for confirming that you're utterly unable to do any sort of self reflection or admit to being wrong like an adult would. I guess one can't engage with reality and be an anarchist at the same time. Want me to pull up some of the statements you made on this very site at the start of the war?

[–] poVoq@slrpnk.net -2 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

Please provide some proof that I ever said so. Because I didn't 🤷

Turns out that's going to be hard to do since you deleted your old account on lemmy.ml so we only have your more recent comments 🤷

but here we have you talking about to your earlier belief that Russia would collapse https://lemmy.ml/post/26620632/17021184

And we both know you made plenty of such proclamations back in 2022, but I guess you'll never have the courage to admit it.

[–] poVoq@slrpnk.net -2 points 41 minutes ago (1 children)

Complete bullshit, and the quoted text also doesn't support your claim (not sure if you used a bad translator).

[–] yogthos@lemmy.ml 1 points 27 minutes ago* (last edited 26 minutes ago) (1 children)

You're now denying having an account on lemmy.ml? Meanwhile, the quoted text precisely supports my claim.

At the beginning of the war, you sagely lectured everyone here how the internal political conflicts in Russia would lead to a change of government and that Ukraine would only have to hold out until then. I just love how you keep digging in here. You genuinely are unable to do any sort of self criticism. Just take the L and crawl back into whatever hole you suddenly decided to crawl out of.

No, I had one and deleted it after you and the owners of lemmy.ml made it very clear that they were toeing the Kremlin propaganda line and directly contradicted what they said merely weeks before.

And what you say is blatantly false. There was some speculation about how the war in Ukraine might end despite Russia clearly having the upper hand militarily in the long run. This speculation was entirely justified at the time. You are clearly unable to differentiate between speculation on possible scenarios and predictions about likely outcomes, and also the quote in German supports exactly that. But we have already established multiple times that your reading comprehension is very limited and you continue to misinterpret and distort what others have said if it fits your agenda.
