Is it just me or is everyone who absolutely loves AI just painfully below average? (lemmy.ca)

Like, every AI generated thing I’ve seen, when viewed from the eyes of someone who actually knows what they’re doing, is at best below average. Maybe some things aren’t quite as bad as the general “AI slop”, but of the things I’m actually experienced in (code and art), I just see so many amateur mistakes in everything AI.

Regarding art, AI can make really visually appealing things, but it gets the details wrong. That’s something that a below average artist does. And regarding code, it’s the same thing. Overall, it has the appearance of decent code, but it gets the details wrong, just like a below average dev. (Probably about the level of a high school senior or college freshman.)

I’m not super experienced at writing, but I can also tell that it’s not very good at that. The stories it writes just aren’t compelling, but I’m not experienced enough to tell you why. And the same with music. It’s just below average, but I couldn’t tell you why.

I’m not trying to sound elitist by saying this, but I’ve noticed people who aren’t very good at these things tend to praise how good the AI is.

So, is it just me, or are the big fans of AI just below average at whatever the AI is doing?

Insinuate what I said it outright are you just using words you think have impact while not actually knowing what the words mean? Are you a confidently incorrect painfully bellow average embarrassment or something?

Oh I am positive this is annoying as hell. But he started this and he can end it any time. At this point he's throwing accusations around because he's butt hurt and he keeps responding because he can't shut up and I keep responding because I know I'm annoying him. I might have let it go if he hadn't decided to follow me to a different part of the comment thread in an attempt to bother me. He chose this.

You keep insinuating I'm embarrassed. I haven't done or said anything to be embarrassed or ashamed of. You projected like 20 different things including alt right ideology onto me on a whim because you're upset. I am perfectly happy to keep this up in perpetuity. Pretty much nothing you've said about me thus far is true, and your attempts to figure me out are so far off the mark that it's not even insulting at this point, it's just laughable.

If you were half as smart as you want to believe you are you would be embarrassed that is the second time you have used that word totally fucking wrong.

And there you go using ideology wrong, techniques would be better there. And there you go using projected wrong come on dude it isn't for direct observations it's for the imaginary stuff. There is a pattern.. a word has impact on you and then you start using it without actually knowing how to use the word..

No one is trying to figure you out, no one wants to understand you. You have spent days literally acting like a weirdo that says things like "darling" against people in forum posts that says everything about you as an individual nothing to figure out.

There is nothing here for either of us to win or lose we are arguing on a niche forum... You have to realize that. I can see growth good job buddy but you still have a long way to go. You need to actually think before you type! Not just "does this sound mean and scary in my head" you have to go further than that. You should consider "is what I am saying completely made up lies that I am saying in an attempt to get positive attention in this community of like mindless individuals?" because if you asked yourself before you started this whole thing, you never would have started it!
