  1. Mark NSFW content.
  2. No doxxing people.
  3. Must be a pic of the tweet or similar. No direct links to the tweet.
  4. No bullying or international politcs
  5. Be excellent to each other.
  6. Provide an archived link to the tweet (or similar) being shown if it's a major celebrity, figure or any politician. If you replace the "x" at their site with xcancel (so it beomes xcancel.com), and you're not on mobile, it will save video. https://web.archive.org/save is another great option. Probably had to do with the country copyright laws :/ I had personal videos blocked because they used music that in over country was free to use and in others wasn’t… or maybe he hates you in particular 🤷‍♀️

Oh, thanks for sharing this experience, because that makes totally sense to me. The error message is kind of misleading and gave me the impression the blocking was on purpose.

Documentary guy is a good guy after all.

Fuck Youtube and all the music industry.

Thank you my friend, what a good suggestion. Next thing would be to just use archive.org. However, for this I would need some help.

If you're on desktop/laptop, FreeTube works pretty well too (has invidious functionality built in)

Dang I didn't know users did that on YouTube. I guess I can't say I blame you, it's a shitty thing to do

They don’t. It’s regional restriction.

Oh. That is what I used to assume. Was Zr0 just messing with me?

[–] Confused_Emus@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 10 months ago

No, Zr0 made an uninformed assumption as well.
