The NDP gaining on him in support might finally be having him rethink his tactics. I can't see it lasting though considering it's gotta be painful for him holding back his snarkyness

Some percentage of his base is still rapidly anti-Liberal. I wonder if the PPC will start pulling these folks who see respect and compromise as weakness.
