Your level of sarcasm is uncanny

Okay, maybe I meant "people believe this is the one and only life and they are afraid, as opposed to religious people who are less likely

This reminds me of an interesting take I have seen somewhere, which was basically a mixture of philosophies of Marx and Nietzsche:

Religious people are more inclined to accept bad circumstances as they have the afterlife to hope for, while atheists don't have this, thus try to create paradise on earth.

Also I think that its worth noting that for 2 biggest religions, this life while it is a test, its also important to note that if we improve this life and conditions for it for us and other people we would also downsize evil and increase good in people.

If a religious person feels the need to sacrifice themselves for others by sometimes doing some bad, then maybe its not as bad to do bad sometimes? IDK

Im sure God takes this into consideration.. so I guess its not that huge of a difference between religious people and atheists.

Now occasions where one would act morally superior because of afterlife would be for example not snitching, arguing with a judge coz you know you are morally superior and God's law is above the government law, then also not accepting deals because you should love yourself and you deserve better, etc.

Id know because I am dealing with some similar struggles.
