Reconciliation doesn’t by default mean “Democratic government takes a back seat and does what FN demand, abdicating all authority to FN interests”.

No you wampus, the NDP party platform from 2017 onwards was "adopt both the TRC Calls to Action and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples". That's what British Columbians voted for, repeatedly, over more than one election.
