Doug Ford keeps on getting reelected, his brother was the mayor of Toronto despite the drugs and overall unseriousness... I mean why do people elect these guys? Is it for the memes and laughs?

I'm being totally serious when I ask this btw. What does the average Doug voter's rationale for getting this guy in office? Same with former Rob Ford voters. Who voted for Rob Ford? Why?

I agree, except Doug famously hates Trump. He loves republicans, and the US, but he's had multiple public fights with Trump since the tariff war started.

Doug was sucking Trump's dick before 2025.

"on election day I was happy this guy won"

Ford congratulates Trump 2024.

Ford praises Trump, criticizes Democrats in 2020.

Then the leopard ate his face like every other MAGA loser.

This is why he gets elected, people with the memories of goldfish.

Yup, I know. Just saying he did a 180 as soon as the tariffs hit, and that anti-Trump sentiment is a big part of what got him the mandate in the snap election.
