i told my mother that i was not a democrat because democrats were too conservative. i got an audible gasp and an actual clutching of pearls (well, it was a necklace, but close enough).
i said "i think everybody deserves to eat.", and that was apparently too much for her.
I’m proud of you for choosing humanity! What’s wild is that a lot of us are behaving exactly how boomers told us one should as kids, just we were supposed to severely limit who got personhood I guess (???)
