If you've tried their fish you've basically tried their chicken. Due to them being fried with the same batter in the same oil, they taste nearly identical. The fish doesn't really taste like fish and the chicken doesn't really taste like chicken - both taste like batter and grease that's been reused one too many times.

I love it.

They used to do $5 plates, too, with two pieces of fish or chicken with fries, creamy coleslaw, and a few hushpuppies, with tartar sauce. I haven't been in quite some time, so that probably went away?

I haven't been there in maybe a decade if not more. My family used to buy their giant boxes of fried chicken or fish when I was a kid, never tried anything else.

Checking online, that $5 plate you mentioned is now $12 at my local LJS.

Yeah, it's probably been about 8-10 years since I went, too. I guess it's still not too bad of a deal, considering how crazy prices are. Better if they pay decent wages, but... It's ljs.
