Does anyone else have concerns about Platner? I just think of him as The Guy With The Nazi Tattoo, and I can't trust anything he says or does because of it. It screams Fetterman 2.0 to me, or worse. I would really like to be wrong, but I can't escape the fact that I don't have a symbol so clearly historically linked to hate inked on my body, and nor does anyone I know.
We need to stop letting the alarmists grant symbols to racists and Nazis which they didn't invent. Not everyone who posted a Pepe meme is a racist, and all types of skull and crossbones were used long before and since ww2. If they're allowed to run with this they'll probably tack on their label to things like this

Nope, I think that is a shit lazy reason to dismiss a candidate after the news story about the tatoo had time to get plenty of attention and for more damning information to come out.
It is clear as day the DNC wants desperately to destroy Graham Platner even if that means losing to a Republican. This was clearly part of an attempt to do that.
You got played by corporate democrats convincing you to be cynical so Janet Mills can scrape a win out even though no one likes her and she has nothing to offer.
It's wild to me how many "leftists" just eat the slop right up. Looking at those who tanked Abugazala, @silentjohn@lemmy.ml , Mike from PA types. And I say this as someone notoriously critical of Democrats. Just hogs as far as I'm concerned.

You expressed a "splitter" position on Abugazala prior to the election (it was about 2 months ago), similar to the Mike_from_PA positions (at the time).

Well, frankly, I hope he wins just to see what happens. After that other guy was such a dick I went to read up and at least he seems genuine that he didn't know what it was; we've seen enough real Nazis caught and proud of it to know how they usually act.
