Modern historians agree that a famine happened in the 1930s, with 3-4 million potentially dead, the problem with the Holodomor narrative is that it assumes this was on purpose when all evidence points to the opposite, as a combination of weather disaster and bourgeois farmers called "kulaks" resisting collectivization of agriculture by burning their crops and livestock.
