Ads send me into a fit of rage now. I will sustain a scream at the top of my lungs just to drowned out the audio if I have to. I'm so done.
Every New Years Eve, I spend about 15 minutes watching network television with my parents while the Times Square ball drops, and I literally ask them every time "how the fuck do you live like this?"
I spend the first 15 minutes of every new year sending texts to all my family and friends in Wisconsin telling them to get registered on myvote.wi.gov for their absentee ballots for the year because we have to renew every single year and its my resolution to bug everyone about it until they send me “i voted” stickers (or excuses for why they haven't a sticker but have voted) in the spring election which is days from my birthday.
Nobody buys me a gift, they send me pictures of stickers. Civic participation is my requested gift. Spring elections are shit for turnout.
