Don't forget that the left path branches itself, split between massive job loss and human extinction.
It's going to be very hard to make all humans extinct. People are smart and resilient.
On the other hand, it's very easy to come up with a future where humanity survives but life is incredibly miserable.
Perhaps. But either way it's a gamble we shouldn't be taking.
Meanwhile some few with too much power are foaming at the mouth to put AI in weapons.
You're absolutely right, I shouldn't have chosen to explode on the launcher.
