Im pretty sure ricing is a racist term that relates to asians and aftermarket cars... we should prob phase that out folks

Because I dn't think it's hurtful. I don't think it's designed to hurt anyone, and I don't hear anyone describing themselves as being hurt.

How is the linux term reffering to processing food with a ricer, and not aftermarket modification of ones possessions? You imbecile
Because they took time to make something from scratch with ingredients. i.e. Cooking. linux ricing started with only Window Managers and occasionally you get someone that modifies a DE. These people start from scratch to build their perfect environment. They aren't doing after market modifications. They literally pick the components they want and put it all together, write all the configs. Hence, Cooking.
Ricing is not making things from scratch, its mashing something through a ricer.
