And there’s your problem.
They’ve convinced you that Democrat(R) and Republican(R) are on opposite sides of the political spectrum when they’re actually on the same side. They’re both right-wing parties. There is no left side to speak of in the US.
That's not true. There are very "liberal" wealthy people who are just as much a part of the problem as the "conservative" wealthy people. It's the wealth that's the problem. There is more than enough to go around. Wealthy people, of all sides of the spectrum, are terrible at sharing.
If we looked at them like they were in the animal kingdom, we would think something was wrong with them.
Yeah, because liberalism and conservatism are both right wing ideologies. The line between left and right is: who should own the means of production? Both liberals and conservatives want private ownership, while socialists want public ownership.
These are not opposed sides, and not a "spectrum," but two camps of capitalists.
I don't think you understand what class is. You have a lot of reading left to do
