I'm not sure that is really the thing holding everyone back. Like gays aren't being brutally murdered or women being raped, or public funds embezzled because America empire. People are actually just kinda bad unto themselves. If America disappeared today I think our issues would still be there with corruption and poverty.
for us to achieve no suffering like you'd want, we would have to eliminate it's sources. and the us sponsors most of the murder rape and corruption worldwide.
