IDK... Maybe it's hopium, but where do they go from here?
They can't ramp up the rhetoric any more, they're already calling for civil war and endless political violence. There's nowhere to go, watching Kirk's event was like watching a DNC event... It had all the players there, but it wasn't scary or inspiring... It was empty platitudes and old men rambling
I don't think they have anywhere to go. They don't have the conviction of the Nazis... Every last one of them wants to call for ethnic cleansing and then go on vacation for the rest of the week
That's why stochastic terrorism is their weapon of choice. The pretty faces get to keep beating the drum from (relative) safety, knowing that somewhere out there a mentally unstable gun nut will take their calls to action to heart and open fire on a grocery store.
You might consider that slow and inefficient by Nazi standards, but they're more than happy with that outcome. It avoids the alternative, where it gets to the point where they're choking down cyanide and lead in a concrete bunker somewhere.
We're already at infinitely encouraging stochastic terrorism. We have shootings several times a week. And it's always the right
How do they escalate that? By tearing down the monuments to victims? That's not really escalation, that's performative sociopathy. But look how they whine when their own actions result in friendly fire.
I'm not saying it's not something very real, and very bad... It's just there's no way to escalate that. How do they elevate that to the next level? I don't think they can
