How can I convince fellow lazy students that they shouldn't need chatbots to help them learn? (thelemmy.club)

My high school is known for being sweaty because it has IB but also people use AI all the time here, to the extent that “chatgpt” is used as a verb. Unfortunately my classmates just want to get through their work as easily and possible and grab the diploma.

I tried to convince several people to not use AI or at LEAST use a different one from chatgpt, but I generally only got good results from people who were not taking very difficult classes. The more popular lot of Advanced Learning people even brushed me off as a “larper” when I tried talking to them about this.

How should I get more people to be willing to see chatgpt as something besides the easy way?

Chatgpt is like uber when it was 1st introduced it was cheap and made life easy many people took jobs and revolved their life around uber rides so they didnt need a car and insurance. Uber is now so expensive because so many people rely on it that now some are stuck saving for a car while paying uber to get to work. The same will happen with chatpgt its affordable now but once they have society by the balls it will be super expensive. Nothing gets cheaper over time. Take notes learn grammar because that is now money you will save in the future!
