i2p is good. I also have my eye on Reticulum.

I use Reticulum too. I route it through I2P and Yggdrasil but my messages can still be received on clearnet. It is an awesome project.

Always good to have a place to escape to - but we need to regain people's power over the mainstream Internet.

This is where most people will remain, this is where you'll have to go to stay in touch, this is what influences public opinion on policies and actions. This ground cannot and should not be given up.

Are there like.. forums on I2P? Like… good ones, where people talk about hobbies and maybe they’re moderated well enough? Or is that just 2001-Me’s insanely wishful thinking? Forums used to be my favorite thing on the internet until they mostly kinda went away.

Is that even possible to have that anymore? Something seemed to fundamentally change when smartphones made the internet accessible to everyone, not just the kind of people whose interests involve sitting at a computer all day.

Yes there are multiple forums to be found. Imageboards etc. Everything you can find on normal internet.

Best ones probably are i2pforum and Ramble.

There’s one reddit-like thing out there I played around with. It needs more people but there’s enough there as is I wouldn’t call it dead. It’ll likely grow as more people flee censored internet. I think it was called ramble

Yes it is Ramble.
