"We did it, Patrick! We made a technological breakthrough!"
A place for all those who loathe AI to discuss things, post articles, and ridicule the AI hype. Proud supporter of working people. And proud booer of SXSW 2024.
AI, in this case, refers to LLMs, GPT technology, and anything listed as "AI" meant to increase market valuations.
Jesus Christ, does every country's leaders have AI brain slugs? All hail hypnotoad? How the fuck is this AI cult actually spreading so effortlessly? I knew all politicians were stupid and most of them were corrupt but really? Has it really gone that far in the entire world that there is no safe haven from this shit? Literally everyone is bandwagoning on this nonsense?
I'm really not one for conspiracies, but... holy hell, it's like a global conspiracy of "Sell Your Citizens Out to the Ultra-Rich AI Bros".
Remember, Japan is pretty conservative in general and now they have a Thatcher copy as prime minister. So doing whatever the industry wants is going to be normal there (and in many other countries)
It sure does seem like every world leader has gone full in on "move fast and break things"
