We all still live under a dictatorship of capital and the capital owning class are more powerful than any politician.
Also this comic is from Chile and not just about US politics. In Chile the Mamdani types gained a mass movement that was stalled by the structure of the government itself which left people frustrated then in 2026 they lost power to fascists.

Correct, but it is nice to have hope instead of giving up.
No one ever said to give up, but voting won't fix it. When you play their game the house always wins. Whatever wins that happen by voting are able to be taken back. People have to rise up and demand an end to the economic system that is built on inequality and injustice and strip the power away from capital.
