I don’t think it’s complicated, if a product directly kills people when used as intended, using a chatbot as a chatbot, the owner of said product should be held responsible, so the CEO is responsible for what their company produces and how it’s presented to the public. Regulations and warning labels would be a good start just like any other potentially deadly product on the market. Being gullible or mentally deficit in any way doesn’t mean it’s ok for companies to harm or kill you, that’s a wildly abelist hot take.
I wonder why we're seeing so many of these comments in a Fuck AI sub, no less. Maybe we're being astroturfed?
