Perhaps the sudden loss of a neighborhood staple — Citrus Club was open for decades and frequented for its cheap noodles and creative cocktails — made it hard to win favor with the tight-knit community.

Really? That's the author's take on why people might not like the use of AI?

I can see the connection if you judge it as a leap from a human, down to earth restaurant to the souless, AI driven slop factory that this new restaurant seemed to want to brand itself as.

Its like if you had a really good friend you haven't talked to for a few years and then randomly find out they are now a MAGA tech bro.
