Phones you can usually keep once you pay it off though. Once you conplete the plan for the laptop you have to return it or likely pay a lump payment (if im understanding this correctly)

I’d expect the laptops would work similarly, you can either pay longer and keep it or trade it in earlier.

You've been able to do this with Apple devices in my country for years through the retailer. Phone carriers used to do something similar
