It is a decentralized messaging app that can work w/o the internet (ig it uses Bluetooth). So it is very useful for protesters in countries where the police use jammers to block network access.
I know, I was just taking the piss with an intentional mispronunciation due to the ambiguity of the lower case spelling and lack of spaces (Bit Chat vs Bitch At).
