I don't know how to feel about this story. I don't want people being spied on, but I don't want any more school shootings either. This person should probably find a different profession.
ooof
...
Do you really, really believe that connection exists?
...
Then I want to ask you, please think about who it is. Who is more likely to become a school shooter:
The person venting her frustration to a friend?
Or the person who has no friend?
I think you're putting words in my mouth.
Mass surveillance has been around for like, what, 20 years now? How well has it worked out with preventing school shootings?
Passive indiscriminate mass surveillance doesn't do shit to prevent or stop crime.
but they do love to surveil potential dissidents though.
Thanks for the graph. I wasn't arguing for mass surveillance, just saying how fucked it is for a teacher to joke about shooting her students. Especially when that graph is showing how big of a problem it is. Do you not get that?
Obviously she was not going to shoot up a school 🙄 can't even vent and make a stupid joke to your bf these days
Shooting and killing children is funny to you?
Good thing they stopped her before she shot up her school, right?
I'm not advocating for what Snapchat did here, but it's not normal behavior to joke about that.
