Dorsey is all those things you just observed about current leadership, and also wanted less moderation capabilities than they do. He wanted Bluesky to be even less moderated than Twitter.
And in spite of the attitudes of the current Blue sky leadership, their moderation tools are pretty decent. Blocking a user there works better than it does in ActivityPub platforms. The blocked user can't see your profile or posts, at all. Over here a blocked user can still be out replying to everything you post, for all your followers to see. And you can mute/hide replies to your posts on Bluesky, so the rest of the people in the conversation doesn't see it unless they actively click to show it.
