They weren't on standby when the aboriginal reservations were burning in northwestern Ontario. They had to self evacuate, no help from provincial or federal govt.
But now that white communities are at risk they're notifying CF to be on standby. Still to this day, assimilation by conflagration.
I expect better of my government.
Trudeau sent the message that Canada doesn't care about indigenous peoples, when: on the first Truth and Reconciliation day in BC (which is a statutory holiday in BC) he was in the province at his vacation home but didn't bother to meet any indigenous leaders or join a parade.
