No, you should forget brave it's yet another piece of shit chrome knock off. Just like the rest. It ain't immune. It can kick and scream but either the entire project dies or they bend the knee eventually.
Not to defend Brave (seriously, don't use Brave), but it has built-in ad-blocking.
As long as chromium is open source I see no problem down the line... and if Google one day stops the funding of open source projects, well, the Firefox is also toast
