Wireless charging requires induction coils, they either need to include them in a custom battery pack (which goes against their philosophy for how they source parts) or to include it in back plate which would also complicate a simple component. You can just get a protective case with the induction coils in it, it would make the device a bit taller for the extra usb-c plug.
Ive been rocking an EU FP4 in the states for years now (had a UK distributer just ship me one) so im biased, but try not to be overly negitive over a problem you can fix yourself.
