Having gone to some Japanese and Korean stores, I think the same thing when I see their appliances. The rice cookers and refrigerators are super different. An example that we now all know about, the Japanese bidet.
Oh yeah, I remember seeing videos of world cup travelers being amazed by that this summer. I didn't realize it wasn't a normal thing!
It's slightly offset by the increased energy costs, as the fridge is way less efficient
The fridge is less efficient when there is an ice maker? How? It sounds like you’re basically saying the freezer is always going to be less efficient when there’s something to freeze.
