Well, if Carney puts the same tariffs on US honey, that will be a pretty obvious switchover for a California-sized portion of honey.
Then find other global partners who would also like Canadian honey.
Also, Canada refines sugar, but the beets have traditionally been grown in the southern US.
So switch to refining honey instead of sugar beets? That would use up the entire supply rather quickly, even if it didn’t make quite as much profit.
Honey is like 10x the price of sugar though
Not anymore….
If the price of honey dropped that much wouldn't you just export it?
I'll take some cheaper than sugar honey...
