A local guy just got caught taking down a decoy camera that the cops set up to get whoever had been cutting down cameras in the area.

So they caught him, but the mayor seemed irritated about the decoy operation, which she wasn't aware of. She wondered who paid for the camera, but it turned out to be a 3D print that one of the cops did at home. Aloarently city council were already debating removing the cameras, and the mayor seems to be on the negative side.

Anyway, whenever the story comes on the news, I vocally declare my support for the guy, to anyone who happens to be in the room.
