I think Canada belongs to all the people living there, just like it is in any other country

Yes, the indigenous have been treated like shit since forever and they need more and better support. They need more of just about everything including representation

But "the country belongs"? We're a democracy, aren't we? If so, doesn't it belong to everyone? Like what, All the Canadians that were born here for generations now suddenly need to move out? Can no longer vote? If not that, then what IS the point of all of this?
