Flippant Anarchism. A lighter take on social criticism with the aim of agitation.

Post humorous takes on capitalism and the states which prop it up. Memes, shitposting, screenshots of humorous good takes, discussions making fun of some reactionary online, it all works.

This community is anarchist-flavored. Reactionary takes won't be tolerated.

Don't take yourselves too seriously. Serious posts go to !anarchism@lemmy.dbzer0.com

Rules

  1. If you post images with text, endeavour to provide the alt-text

  2. If the image is a crosspost from an OP, Provide the source.

  3. Absolutely no right-wing jokes. This includes "Anarcho"-Capitalist concepts.

  4. Absolutely no redfash jokes. This includes anything that props up the capitalist ruling classes pretending to be communists.

  5. No bigotry whatsoever. See instance rules.

  6. This is an anarchist comm. You don't have to be an anarchist to post, but you should at least understand what anarchism actually is. We're not here to educate you.

  7. No shaming people for being anti-electoralism. This should be obvious from the above point but apparently we need to make it obvious to the turbolibs who can't control themselves. You have the rest of lemmy to moralize.

using AI for work, that's ok, but AI art is cringe as fuck and it's embarrassing how much this instance embraces and even promotes it

That's a wacky, imaginary line in the sand though. Your boss must love you.

Yes, using LLMs for mechanical work like sorting data and doing calculations vs using LLMs to replace your creativity and how you abstract and express your feelings are the same thing. Your SO must love you.

Is the AI art in the room with us right now?

edit: the AI is, in fact, in the room with us right now

[–] PiraHxCx@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 1 day ago (2 children)

yes, right there in the community logo in the sidebar, and in the banner behind it as well.

Sorry for coming in hot yesterday, I had a long week. Thanks for answering with patience.

How do we know those are AI generated?

[–] PiraHxCx@lemmy.dbzer0.com 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

you ask mods, they are open about it (although the banner is pretty obvious)

[–] 2hundredpancakes@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Oh, that's kinda a shame. The banner is the one with the person in the "fuck you" hat right? I'm on voyager and also a bit slow 🫠

Yes I saw that and that's why I made the post. I found it very interesting and trying to understand this community a bit better. Not saying it's wrong, just wondering

Nah, you didn't sound that way, no worries. If anything I came off as a bit of a butt in this thread. Sorry, person above me.

How do y'all clock these pics as AI without someone telling you? I find AI-gen prose really easy to spot, but unless I see a pic that looks like an overly-good photoshop (or has too many fingers), or has that airbrushed cartoon look, I just don't know.

[–] AviAdi@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

You're gonna love this; I use Google search images which then uses it's AI feature to say the image might be AI generated 😂

That's peak internet, thank you 😭

It's kinda worrying that people can't easily identify obvious AI generated images. It's super obvious.

[–] Wobble@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 22 hours ago

The "obvious art" is obvious. It has been found that the people are increasingly unable to see an AI face vs a real face. Eventually it will be indistinguishable from reality.
