Yes, and that's topical in more than one way, Mark Carney was the governor of the bank of Canada during the '08 crisis. At the time, his response of lowering prime and encouraging spending was viewed as risky, but it is also credited as the reason that Canada fared better than other G7 nations. That policy is also what facilitated the housing bubble we are now reliant on for our fucking economy to function.

Hence why I am adamant that this is not some necessary evil or delay of the inevitable.
