This user complained about the OP. The thread starter posts content from reddit here. His argument is that Lemmy is dead without users posting interesting content, so he scrapes reddit and posts it here. Some users don't like content from reddit here and would prefer only natural user interaction. OP says, if that were the case the entire Lemmy network would be basically empty.

Doesn't it also kind of imply the original complaining user is hypocritically using reddit themselves? How else would they know? And secondly, why do they care so much, because they had to see meme twice? Reddit was full of reposts and lemmy to an extent is too if you overlap subs to similar communities on different instances.
Idk I just don't get the whole thing. Aren't a lot of us here as an alternative to reddit anyway?
Lemmy users can be very weird when it comes to hills to die on. Every social media is federated through screenshots after all.
Personally, I would like more content and active boards, so I'm okay with the reposts because it makes Lemmy a more viable option to replace reddit and make users switch and post real content here.
Actually, when reddit started out the admins themselves had sock puppets to make it look more lively.
