That's what I said.

Different medical culture, I guess. People here go over much more easily.

Good thing too. A friend of mine jammed her finger playing volleyball once and I thought she was nuts to go to the hospital, but it turned out she needed a surgical adjustment and if she hadn't gone it would've wound up healing in a way that would've permanently affected her dexterity.

I live in Canada and I've gone to the emergency room for a pretty mild eyelid infection before because I wanted to be sure it wasn't cellulitis and couldn't get in at the walk in clinic because I work nights and you have to go really early in the morning (appointments at my family doctor typically take like 2-3 weeks at least). It's nuts, what the US has going on (with regards to more than just healthcare but ce n'est pas le place)
