Yes, but also AI is different. In all the examples you gave, technology increases the efficiency of practical labor. AI is the first time we have attempted to take art away from the artist or wisdom away from the wise.
It’s a consolidation of power at a different scale of human experience. Compare control over book printing to control over the very act of writing. Control over scientific research vs. control over the very act of deliberation itself.
AI is an attempt to replace our intuitions and talents with an ersatz sludge of curated slop.
