Didn't care when the arts and humanities were being scraped dry, but suddenly they're all coming out against it now that they're going after the sciences
Bluntly, the burden of proof is on the purveyors of the mass plagiarism machine to demonstrate that their mass plagiarism machine did not commit plagiarism, which will be difficult because the only thing the mass plagiarism machine is capable of is massive amounts of plagiarism.
This isn't meant as a defense of OpenAI, just giving context because OP doesn't. For what it's worth I believe training AI on chat logs should be opt in rather than opt out, so OpenAI is clearly at fault here.
