What types of cameras do these self-driving cars use? I'm just saying, there's got to be a way to confuse and redirect them that's invisible to the naked human eye.

I motion we organise and send every self-driving shitty excuse for a train to one massive pit.

Googled it and: Standard AI cameras do not see ultraviolet (UV) or infrared (IR) light natively because manufacturers install a physical blocking filter over the image sensor

So I think it would take hacking their software somehow or poisoning their map data to do what you suggest.

That's not how any of this works.

It's just regular lidar for the most part.

Also that's just unsafe and dangerous to potential passengers. What's next? Doing a little terrorism?

Thinking this is weird and circle jerking causes some fuck to do a terrorism. Online incels have caused people to go nuts and kill women for being just that. You gotta be careful with hate.

one specific company's cars do not use lidar, and can thus be confused by salt

EDIT: oops I thought it was reading the salt as a physical obstacle, but no, it reads it as a road marking. oops.

They still use vis spectrum cameras.
