Every time I use ai, it turns out to give crap answers. I wouldn't trust it to water my plants.

So what the hell are people doing with all these massive data centers???

Targeting schools full of Iranian children? Polluting the web with slop? How does this make any sense or even turn a profit?

Oh my god, people have been using AI to write tickets

Every ticket this week was partially or completely incorrect. It is insane.

But the worst part is before I would get a vague ticket “client complained about X”, and now the AI thinks it found the issue, so it writes “Flurp library causes kikiblawv component to flop, Proof: flurps happen based on moon phases, today is Thursday, kiki component has this error code”. At no time does the AI relay the actual complaint.

So I have to reverse engineer the fucking ticket and it takes way longer. Plus, the logic is wrong.

Almost every time I get a human written ticket I can triage without even looking at the code.

My guess is surveillance is driving it

I'd buy that. Reading all the email and all the text chats of everyone on the planet.

Also I keep reading article about how bad actors are weaponizing ai. Not sure how that works outside of spam bots pushing propaganda.

It's been used both as a hacking method, and as the ingress for a bad actor.
