As I much I was I don't want to hand it Danielle Smith. It seems Danielle Smith learned from the UK's disastrous Brexit vote orchestrated by David Cameron.

Having a vote to decide if you should vote to leave is a good political decision. If Danielle Smith wants to stay Alberta to stay in Canada, she can go "See, people don't want a vote to leave" or "the vote to leave was way too close. I would prefer a clear and strong super majority before initiating a vote to leave Canada."

If the vote to vote leave is clearly to vote to leave. Danielle Smith can gain leverage to extract more from the Federal Government.
