That's the point, if he only used his personal account at home he'd be getting the notifications, there'd be a credit limit etc etc. Instead he used the work card at home for a personal youtube purchase. So yeah, it's not a bit much, he put a huge amount of money that didn't belong to him at risk for a personal convenience and now he has to deal with the consequences. Same as if a valet "borrows" a customers $118k car for a quick trip to to 7-11, and 99 times nobody even notices and the 100th time he gets hit by a redlight runner but now he's in trouble because it wasn't his car to put at risk. And it wasn't dad of the year's money to take convenient risks with either.
