I built my older kid a gaming PC for his birthday. He just turned 10. It's not great...I got him a new CPU (technically better than mine, 5600x3d) and mobo, and handed-down 32gb of 2400, nvme, SSD, and my 1660 Super...so certainly decent and capable, but not an antique, and not a power horse. Super mid.
For some reason, one of the first games he wanted to play was Portal. So, for reference, Portal came out well before he did, and I'm sure he only knows of it because of references in cartoons.
But my younger kid...he's 7...he's nobodies fool. He knew as soon as cake was promised that it's not going to happen. He told me, essentially as soon as it was announced in the game...that the cake is a lie.
Serious proud dad moment. It's like "The Cake is a Lie" was imbued into the very sperm that gestated into him.
Oh and second game older game wanted to play on his new PC was Skyrim.
